Nokia branded phones are back. Time will tell if the Nokia name can become front and center in the smartphone business today. Nokia’s decision to use its own operating system Symbian OS in the early days of Android was a disastrous move for the company which eventually led to a sale to Microsoft. Microsoft did not do any better with its Windows Phone OS. It has since all but gotten out of the smartphone business.
