Today we held a memorial service for my Dad who passed away at the age of 89 on November 9, 2016. The memorial service was held at the All Saints Chapel on the campus of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas at 10:30am CST. It was a service I will never forget with my brother-in-law Norman, and my brother Joby getting up to say a few words about Dad. My niece Sydney also got up and read a very heart felt poem that she wrote about her grandpa which was very nice. At the end of the Chapel service we spread half of Dads ashes under the Globe Memorial near the Frost Athletic Center. I look forward to the tree memorial that will be constructed in Dads honor in the Spring of 2017. I hope to be able to visit there often to be close to Dad.
Dear Dad,
I love you and always will. I am sorry that you passed away with certain ideas about me in your head. I can only tell you that you were deeply mistaken.
