For as long as I have been alive VCRs have been around so to say goodbye to the VCR is bittersweet for me. I can remember the days when the tapes would get jammed in the VCR and you would have to take them out and if you were lucky enough not to break the ribbon you could tighten it back up. Obviously the VCR has been replaced by far superior technology. Believe it or not Funai Electric the last VCR manufacturer sold 750,000 units in 2015.
