Samsung is pushing out a software update to U.S. carriers to render Galaxy Note 7 phones inoperable. Verizon says it wont push the update to customers in the U.S. and it is the only carrier to refuse the update.
In my opinion Samsung has gone too far with this move. I was a Note 7 user until October 2016 when Samsung decided to push out a mandatory update to reduce the battery capacity on my phone to 60 percent. Not once did my phone ever overheat or show any signs of the battery being under pressure. I loved my phone and despite the travel ban i did not want to part with my phone.
What do you think. Should Samsung be allowed to brick/disable people’s phones?
